Like a horror movie villain that comes back for one more jump scare, Done With Mirrors is Aerosmith’s last great 70’s album, resurrected through strange shamanic rituals and birthed like Frankenstein’s monster into the bratty pop and slick rock of the mid 80’s. But Aerosmith's unawaited reunion LP, Done with Mirrors, is the work of burned-out lugheads whose lack of musical imagination rivals their repugnant lyrics. Dec 21,  · Done With Mirrors is the album that found Aerosmith down in the gutter, muddied, bloodied, with dirt under their fingernails but looking up at the stars. ’s Toys In the Attic, home to Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion, and after it Rocks, had seen Aerosmith assume the mantle of America’s greatest living rock raiplantiverciduconciasembstewpato.xyzinfog: Gypsy Boots. Done with Mirrors is Aerosmith's hardest rocking album since Rocks. But, it's also one of their worst albums. 1. Oct 27,  · Done With Mirrorsis the unwanted stepchild of the Geffen Aerosmith catalog -- save for a few tracks on Young Lust: The Aerosmith Anthology, it has never been remastered in the US. I see it in many ways as the last real Aerosmith album. Not their best, but it has a certain raw charm to it. ACK!,Oct 24,
  2. Personally my favorite of these is Done With Mirrors but I get why people might dislike it. It definitely sounds unfinished and the lyrics outside of a few songs aren't among their best (Reason a Dog, Gypsy Boots, My Fist your Face, and Darkness being exceptions). For myself I really like the stripped down style and weird darkness it has to it.
